Mirka and Vani experienced a close call at sea today - engine rotations fell dramatically, smoke welled out from the engine room, oil spilled out - what happened? Need to bark "save our souls"??? call the marines or send rockets in the air? No, we have a master engineer onbord!
We turned the bow towards the harbor, slowly managed to reach our usual moorings and paused to consider the situation. After consultations and some hard thinking the probable delinquent was found - the oil filter! This was duly excavated from the depths of the engine, but of course, all reserve parts stores had closed for the weekend except the one that did not have the correct part on the shelves. Just have to wait for monday morning to correct the acute need of functioning oil filter! If I were not such a well-bred dog I would say what I really think of Steyr engines and their oil troubles!!! Woff!
